Brood Ewes

Structural correctness and straightness is a must to be selected as a keeper ewe lamb and retained into the brood ewe flock.

The ewe flock is maintained on grass pastures May through November and are very easy doing and easy fleshing Suffolk sheep.

Each fall we breed about 100 ewes. These ewes will normally produce a 200% lamb crop or better. In 2006 our birth rate was 220%. About one-fourth of our ewes have triplets and will raise them, testifying to the milking ability of the dams.

Contact us anytime to view the ewe flock. Starter flock packages (2 brood ewes, 2 yearlings, and 2 ewe lambs) are a great way to get a 4H sheep project started.
